Just a reminder that our annual race to Frenchy's Cove on Anacapa Island and back is this Saturday.  This is a very casual race that has a little upwind sailing and/or close reaching and a lot of beam reaching or broad reaching, depending on the wind.  Crossing the channel from the Mandalay Buoy generally provides relaxed sailing with plenty of sea life to view.  We've been seeing lots of dolphins and whales in the area, as recently as last weekend.  This is the perfect race to introduce sailing to people that haven't raced before.  You'll have the opportunity to experience sailing with other boats, with a cool destination (Anacapa Island) and enjoy whatever mother nature serves up for the day.  So, come on out!
Registration is on Regatta Network and closes at 5pm Friday night.
There will be a dinner at Anacapa Yacht Club following the race, race results and prizes.
