Join the ASBC Young Adult Ministry (YAM) for a YAMSGIVING Cooking Class to celebrate food, family, friendship, and faith! We will provide a list of ingredients and necessary cookware in advance of the class!

Greetings, 

In advance of the YAMsgiving cooking class scheduled for Saturday, November 20, 2021, below please find a menu, a list of ingredients, and a list of supplies. Note the ingredients are based on shopping at Wegmans but please feel free to purchase the ingredients at any grocery store and to make any necessary dietary changes or supplements.

YAMs Cooking Class - Dinner for 4

Menu:

Turkey Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Blackened Salmon w/ Cajun Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Peach Cobbler Turnovers a la mode



Shopping List:

Wegman’s Whole White Mushrooms (12oz)

Wegman’s Cooking Wine (12.7 fl oz) 

Gianelli Turkey Italian Sausage 1lb [or any Pork Italian Sausage] 

Green Onions (1 bunch) 

Italian Parsley (1 bunch) 

Head of Garlic

Wegman’s Panko Bread Crumbs (10oz) 

BelGioioso Mascarpone Cheese (8oz) 

Parmesan Cheese Block (0.50lb) 


Whole Salmon Filet or 4 portions

Raw Shrimp (1lb) (can substitute chicken breast)

Magic “Blackened Redfish Seasoning” (2oz) 

Wegmans Smoked Paprika (1.41oz)

McCormick Grill Mates Louisiana Cajun Seasoning (2.62oz) 

Wegman’s Amore Pasta Mafaldine (17.6oz)

Wegman’s Heavy Cream (16oz)

Wegman’s Baby Spinach (6oz)

Dromedary Pimientos, Diced (4oz) 


Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Frozen Sheets (17.3oz) (take out 1-hour before class)

Wegman’s Yellow Cling Sliced Peaches in light syrup (15oz)  (2 cans)

Argo Corn Starch (16oz) 

Vanilla Ice Cream (1 pint) (pick your favorite brand!)

All, we received an update from Chef Bryan that the type of cooking wine you will need is MARSALA cooking wine and to please remember to defrost the pastry sheets. Also we are resending the ingredients.
