As the COVID 19 Coronavirus outbreak continues to develop, ASBC has made the decision to cancel all YAM events and activities THROUGH June 10, 2020. In the beginning of this pandemic, we established a YAM prayer line, but now we are moving towards a new direction. As of today, May 21, 2020 and moving forward we will be implementing a new Prayer and Meditation Digest that will be sent out on - Thursdays! Please look out for this digest from your YAM Board Leaders until The Rona has subsided.

Scripture: Psalm 100:1-5 (MSG)
On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into his presence. Know this: God is God, and God, God. He made us; we didn’t make him. We’re his people, his well-tended sheep. Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him. For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.

Meditation: Finding Your Rhythm
The ‘Rhythm and Praise’ playlist on Spotify keeps my morning walk brisk, but, more than anything, it reminds me to stay in God’s presence while in motion. On the shifting sands of circumstance, it can be easy to forget that God’s stability is only one facet of God’s uniqueness. This Psalm tells us that music is one way to bring ourselves into conversation with our inimitable God, whose care for us is shown in how well we are tended. My morning warm-up for the day reminds me of the gifts of mercy and grace that greet me before my coffee, but it is my soundtrack that reminds me to count every blessing, and to thank God for them, one by one.

Prayer
Eternal God, you are the author and finisher of my faith. I thank you for the gift of your son Jesus and for the invitation to be a part of your family. Thank you for the love you show me again and again. Even though I fall short daily, Lord, you remain faithful. Forgive me, Lord. As I go through each day, show me what you want me to do, so that my assignment in this season is fulfilled according to your plan. In Jesus’ holy name I pray, Amen.
