Victor Yturbe, also known as El Piruli, was a Mexican singer of boleros, considered as one of the best interpreters of this genre in Mexico. He was born in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí, on May 8, 1936, and died tragically on November 29, 1987, when he was shot by three assailants at the door of his home in Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico.
Throughout his extensive career, he recorded numerous albums, always with the collaboration of Chamín Correa, the First Requinto of America, and obtained great successes that still awaken the affection and admiration of the public. He was known as The Romantic of History in contemporary Mexican music.
