Victor Yturbe, also known as El Piruli, was a Mexican singer of boleros, considered as one of the best interpreters of this genre in Mexico. He was born in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí, on May 8, 1936, and died tragically on November 29, 1987, when he was shot by three assailants at the door of his home in Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico.

Throughout his extensive career, he recorded numerous albums, always with the collaboration of Chamín Correa, the First Requinto of America, and obtained great successes that still awaken the affection and admiration of the public. He was known as The Romantic of History in contemporary Mexican music.

In 2011, a compilation album titled 50 Exitos: La Mas Completa Coleccion was released, featuring some of his most popular songs. The album consists of two discs with 25 songs each, covering different styles and periods of his musical trajectory. Some of the songs included are:

    • Cuidado: A song by Chico Novaro, about a warning to a woman who is playing with fire by flirting with another man.
    • Condición: A song by Gabriel Ruiz Galindo, about a man who asks for a condition to love a woman: that she loves him too.
    • Usted: A bolero by Gabriel Ruiz Galindo and José Antonio Zorrilla, about a respectful admiration for a woman who is out of reach.
