@artimar Yeah I've separated the bands, rebooted the gateway, unplugged the gateway, unplugged the printer, and have tried to reserve an ip address within range on the gateway itself but still no dice. Epson hasn't provided anything other to blame Xfinity and Xfinity just keeps saying the same thing which I've done several times. In my situation my printer has an ip address that is not inrange of the new gateway. I've reset everything but no matter what the gateway seems to be setting the address back to what it was like it is cached within the gateway itself. It would be nice to know if that is the case! Definitely running out of options, patience, and time. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is not helpful.

@EG Thanks the funny thing is the device wifi light is on and steady which per the manual means that it is connected and I do see it as connected when logging into the gateway but the address on the router and the address on the printer don't match. Definitely can't explain it an epson says it's the router and of course I'm being told it's the printer but didn't have an issue until I upgraded to this new modem.

And you removed the power cord from both the printer and the outlet? And you turned off your printer before removing those? Are you actually following the documentation that came with your printer or are you just going on instinct?

Are you using a router separate from your modem, or are you using a gateway? You might need the IP from the router in order to make sure your printer is picking up the correct IP. If your printer comes with a screen, make sure the IP there matches the one in the router.

@Again I've followed all the epson documentation the only difference from when the printer was working and not working is the new xb7 modem. I've removed the power cord from the printer and the outlet each time I've tried it. Not using any instinct just following the typical directions. I'm not using a separate router just using the gateway. The ip from the gateway does not match the ip on the printer which I initially stated in my post but was told that the ip on the printer seems to be a self assigned ip. The printer shows connected on the gateway and so I manually entered the ip from the gateway into the epsonnet setup but get the following error:

@jlavaseur congratulations unfortunately not having the same luck as you so just went back to the xb6 and magically all the chaos has seemed to go away for now. My epson connected and is able to talk flawlessly with the xb6 unlike what I experienced with the xb7 so there is definitely some other changes that need to happen for me to get it to work but I wasn't able to determine exactly what that was. I need to be able to print today so glad I took the recommendation from xfinity support to go back to xb6. It was actually the first time I got an honest response that multiple reports of an issue with epson devices and xb7, so for all the others that are in the same boat that I was just go back for now and hopefully the issue can get resolved in the near future. If someone can determine what needs to change please post what was done so others can enjoy the xb7.

Hi Admin
I have an Epson WF 7710 that has run Chipless, but I am now saying Maintenance Box, Although I have rerun Firmware Version - FA24I5 and changed IC chip of waste toner. But still no improvement, there is still report every time it boots up.
Thanks Admin

I have downloaded the new firmware and run it, but the printer still does not receive the toner cartridge.
You have to any way that can do you can only guide with.
Do I need to buy the Key to re-run the Update firmware John_Admin.

Thank you very much.

Hi, I have previously run the program update software (U_FWG535TL_FA99Z9_WF7710). It takes a while to report this ink error, It's run is a new program update that resets the ink IC, but the machine still does not receive the ink.
