Good Morning Friends,

In this mail we are the representatives of the UGFU teams that they will participate in the UNIVERSITY GRADUATES CHAMPIONS CUP 2016/2017.

After 10 years organizing these international tournaments, with the main objective to travel and play football, we have the illusion that the new format will help us to strengthen the competition and each year commit teams to participate.

Our aim is that each team representative will be a member of the UGFU, and that together make this tournament grow year after year.

We have teams of 4 European leagues of university graduates, and also invited teams formed by university graduates.
The goal is to get teams of the same features of other countries in Europe. Your help to get new teams from other countries will be very grateful.

For a better organization and to improve the contact between us, if is possible, would be good that we all have the WhatsApp Application on the mobile phone, for allow us to have direct contact with all teams representatives.

I assure that is a pleasure working with you, who are always willing to work together to make this tournament better every year.

Next season we will make a new competition system more attractive for all teams, with the aim that the University Graduates Champions Cup becomes an appointment each year for teams formed by university graduates.

The new system will have 2 phases:

The first phase will be played with 4 groups of 4 teams each group, in 4 diferent cities in Europe: Barcelona, London, Naples and Porto.

These 4 cities, are the main cities with the main airport. But is posible, by organizational matters, that the games will be play in another cities, near the main cities.

The second phase will be the Final Four, with 4 teams will win in each group.

The Final Four venue, will be elect when we know the four finalists. Is sure that will play the Final Four in a city of one of team classified.

There are 2 phases in 6 months, because the first will be played on November 19th, 2016, and the second (the Final Four) will be played on April 29th, 2017.

The aim is that the first phase is played with 4 teams in each group. But if a team can not attend, also we would play a phase with 3 teams.

In a group with four teams, we will play 3 games of 30 minutes.

Now we have a German team to be confirmed their participation in the group of Barcelona.

And we are working to get the fourth team for the group of Naples. Any collaboration to achieve a team for the group of Naples, It will be well received.

Also, if the winner of the first phase can not attend the Final Four, we would invite the second, the third or the fourth of that group. The important is to start the competition, travel and play.
