Weare located at NYU Abu Dhabi's campus on Saadiyat Island. Take highway E12 to Exit 11, Saadiyat Beach West, and follow the signs for New York University Abu Dhabi. The Institute is located on The East Plaza of the NYUAD Campus.

Cross the front of the campus, and after the U-turn, enter at East Parking Public parking is available in zones 2 or 3 on level B of the parking garage. Take the elevators to level 0 to enter campus at the Central Plaza.

WSN spotted several cars sporting faked parking placards claiming affiliation with Campus Safety and the security officers union parked illegally near Washington Square Park. NYU and the security workers union have denied distributing the placards.

Fountain Walker, the head of Campus Safety, confirmed that the university does not distribute the placards. A spokesperson for the Local One Security Officers Union, which represents security workers at NYU, said that although the union does distribute placards for vehicle identification, it was not responsible for issuing most of the signs that WSN found.

During a one-week period, WSN found that NYPD officers rarely ticketed cars with placards parked in no-parking zones, even while cars without placards were ticketed nearby. In 2019, the city passed a set of bills intended to address incidents of fake placard use.

Features on the campus include academic buildings, a library, theatres, indoor sports facilities, student and faculty residences and laboratories. There is also a site wide basement for servicing and parking and a two level podium.

The second plot houses the university sports facilities including a Track and Field arena with showcase pitch for soccer, a training pitch and six tennis courts together with a locker room and club house facilities.
