Number of results don't match

When I search "Data science" in the Arxiv search bar, there are 19,177 total results, while when I search the same phrase in the API (http://export.arxiv.org/api/query?search_query=all:%22Data%20science%22&start=0&max_results=1), it says there are 1513 total results. Is there any reason for this discrepancy I should be aware of?

PS: another problem is that "computational science" and "computer science" generate identical results in the API, but not in the Arxiv search engine.

(in search engine, "computer science" generates 344,422 results while "computational science" generates 20,620 - both generate 29,901 in the API).
