Get article report number from metadata

Hello,

I'm trying to check using the API if new articles were published on arXiv by people from my lab for an outreach project.

I first check from several categories then filter the newest ones and then would like to filter further using the report number (all the papers from my lab do have a report number). However, when I check the metadata of the entries obtained from an API query, I can't find the report number there.

I know the report number is not required when submitting an article on arXiv, so maybe that's why it is not included. Is there a way to obtain it?

I already tried to search by report number but the query breaks due to the presence of the "-" character in the report number, so this is probably not an option.
