This Sunday 27-October 2013 .We will hike on the slopes of Mt. Meru [ maporomoko ya mlima Meru] The area is very varied with trees, and bush land with great hiking opportunities.
We will meet at 8:30am (please be in time!) at MOUNT MERU HOTEL (along Nairobi-Moshi road near Philips) from where we will drive for about 15 minutes to a safe place to park our cars. From there we will hike for about 4 hours before coming back to our cars.
Please let us know if you have space in your car for others to join who do not have their own wheels (and also let us know if you need transport, we will try to link you with others).
The fee will be 10,000 Tsh per person to pay the guides. Tanzanians who cannot afford 10,000 Tsh can request for a reduction of 5,000 Tsh. For those that share transport, please discuss fuel contributions
amongst yourselves.

"Twende Hiking Group" consists of a varying group of hiking enthusiasts who like to go on hikes in the surroundings of Arusha. Anyone who likes being active and enjoys being in nature is welcome. There is no need to register or sign up beforehand. We aim to go on a hike every weekend.
