Mara Foundation is the social enterprise for emerging African entrepreneurs. Mara Foundation aims to be the hub in Dar es Salaam for passionate entrepreneurs to connect, create synergies, work, get support, and foster a community of like minds.    Mara One-on-One Mara One-on-One aims to support the start-up and growth of young businesses in Dar es Salaam by connecting successful businessmen and businesswomen with passionate entrepreneurs for six months. This initiative is designed to help young enterprises survive the cut-throat world of business by creating alliances with strong players who have already succeeded in running successful companies. Through this programme, young entrepreneurs will be able to position their businesses for sustainable growth through one-on-one sessions with a Mentor drawn from the top of the business world. The deadline to apply is the 20th of April 2014. The selected entrepreneurs will be invited to a Matching Event on the 25th of April where they will hold a 4 minutes pitch to each Mentor. Let the most convincing Mentee be connected with an amazing Mentor!  Apply Now! When you run a startup, adaptation is key... Mara Foundation has identified significant needs from the entrepreneurial community for access to funding in East Africa. Therefore, we have decided to focus our efforts and resources on the development of the Mara Ad-Venture Fund, a venture capital fund, as well as on virtual and on-the-ground mentoring through Mara Mentor and Mara One-on-One. As such, the Mara Launchpad in Dar es Salaam has ceased its operations at the end of March. Mara Foundation's office remains at Mayfair Plaza in order to grow the Mara Mentor online platform as well as continue the Mara One-on-One programme.
