BETA Spaces special preview on Saturday November 7
I'm excited to let everyone know that the Brooklyn Council of
Contempoary Arts will be visiting Bushwick on Saturday, November 7 and
asked to specifically preview the festival. They will be here from
approximately 1-3:30pm, but I will be confirming their schedule
tomorrow and making recommendations on which exhibitions to visit.
While it would be great if they could see everything, the will be
restricted by the length of their visit (approximately 1 - 1.5 hours)
and geographical area they can cover. It is likely they will stay
around Ingraham St and the Morgan L Area. That said, if you have an
exhibition in that area, please let me know if you will be fully
installed and able to receive visitors on Saturday.
I have also scheduled Arts in Bushwick to make a brief presentation in
the beginning of their tour (likely around 1:30 or so), but I will
confirm timing later in this week. It would be great if someone could
give a brief history of the organization, our interests, goals, etc--
however, the content is really open --and please use this as a forum
for discussion.
In my absence (I will be at work that day--as usual), they asked for a
curator to take them to see a few exhibitions. Paul D'Agostino,
curator at Centotto, volunteered to lead them around the neighborhood.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

This all sounds great! Glad Paul will be taking them around as
curator. I'd be happy to do the AIB intro thing, although it would be
great if a few of us could be involved in that.

Hi, The “Formless in context: a study of chaos and discourse” show
will be set up by late Friday night. So, I'm open to anyone who needs
to do a pre-blog or whatever.
