2006年，義大利政府簽署一項宣言，禁止過瘦的模特兒走上伸展台，並要求時尚界設計師的作品必須適合一般女性穿著，期待藉此改變時下女性「瘦身」、崇
尚「骨感」的風氣。
本屆申請展以「身體/時尚！？」為題，藉由身體與時尚的關聯所帶給人們的「驚嘆」，省思現今社會引用身體作為消費物件之影響，期待激發出反映時代的展覽
與當代作品。

Call for Application Submissions for 2008 Juming Museum Exhibition

The Italian government signed a self-regulatory code of conduct to ban
ultra-thin models from the catwalks in 2006. The code also requests
the fashion designers to offer clothes which fit the size of normal
women. The purpose is to modify the idea of "losing weight" and
"skinny" which are pursued by contemporary women.
The Juming Museum Call for Application Submission for 2008 Exhibition
takes "Body / Fashion !?" for the topic of this year. Based on the
"surprise" brought by the connection between body and fashion, the
museum hopes to provoke thinking about the influence of using body as
a consuming object. The museum also looks forward to seeing
exhibitions and art pieces which reflect the contemporary era.
