Hey All,
I'm one of the organizers of a large, awesome conference that
happens every two years: the HOPE conference (Hackers On Planet
Earth).
It's normally in New York City, but this year thousands of people
will be attending totally online.
25-July through 2-August
https://www.hope.net/
Would you or anyone you know like to give a talk or workshop or
performance (or something else you think is cool?) for HOPE. It can
be live, or pre-recorded, or a combination.
It can be about one of your projects, ideas, musical pieces, art
pieces, or about anything else you are excited about and would like
to share.
No presentation experience is necessary. And the project or topic
doesn't need to be revolutionary. The only requirements are that
you think it is awesome, and you'd like to share it.
Submitting a proposal is easy, and not very formal.
For talks/panels:
https://www.hope.net/speakers.html
We mainly want:
* a nice title
* a short description
* a short bio
* answers to the easy questions in the above link
For workshops, and anything that isn't a talk or panel -- it's
similar
to the above, but with this link:
https://www.hope.net/workshops.html
It is fine to submit more than one proposal! Please send each
proposal in its own email.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 28-June.
I'm happy to answer any questions.
Cheers,
Mitch
