We have secured Chima in Tyson's Corner for the Gala Launch party. I spoke to
Christina Mohr - Sales and Events Manager today and negotiated most of the details. The date will be Thursday, April 7th.
We will receive special drink pricing (our guests will be able to buy drink tickets for $5 each). The drink tickets are necessary as their happy hour pricing must end at 7 pm per their corporate office. The drink tickets are a work around for that entire evening for our guests. Attendees will pay a $20 donation at our reception desk and will also have the opportunity to purchase drink tickets. Chima donate a variety of appetizers for our event.
I will put together a Facebook invitation and also an evite invitation. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. The Westin hotel was unfortunately not price competitive for this particular event.

Glad to hear, Kelly. Many thanks for putting it together. Disappointed to hear the Alexandria Westin is not more willing to work with us, but appreciate your efforts to make it work with them. Looking forward to kicking things off with our friends at Chima!

Thank you so much Jennifer! Also, thank you so much for inviting your FB friends to the Launch Party!!! We are trying to invite about 1500 people so that about 100 or so will attend.
I'v got meetings tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday evening regarding more pre-parties, potential model/fundraisers and corporate sponsors. If anyone on the committee would like to host a fundraiser, please let us know. Reply all
