Arts For Autism Gala 2016 Venue!!!

Hi All,
I am very pleased to announce that the 2016 venue for Arts For Autism Gala has been chosen!! The Gala will be held on Saturday, November 5th , 2016 at the Westin Hotel in Old Town Alexandria. Please take a look at their website: http://www.westinalexandria.com
The Westin has generously offered us our choice of two different auction items for the Gala. They are also providing us with all staging and pipe & drape at no extra charge. The Westin is even providing Sarah and Elizabeth with two complimentary rooms for the evening of the Gala!
The Edison Ballroom is a beautiful space for the Gala and there are equally beautiful rooms being provided for the female and male Model Fundraisers! There is also a wonderful space being provided as a quiet room. All of these extra rooms are at no additional charge. Space will not be an issue.
Sarah, Elizabeth and I were so impressed with the facility and the professionalism of the staff. We were impressed and I hope that as you find out more about the Westin that all of you will be too. The best part is they were able to meet our budget requirements and give us room to grow for the future. Selecting a venue each year is an exhaustive process and the Westin provides us with a relationship where we can concentrate our energies on fundraising
We will be updating our website with the new date and venue information. Now that the venue and date have been chosen we can concentrate on moving forward with other time sensitive objectives – mainly corporate sponsorships and reaching out to more Model Fundraisers. We are going to explore the possibility of contacting celebrity Model Fundraisers as well to increase ticket sales and fundraising.
I hope to see as many of you as possible on August 18th at the Awards Ceremony/Fundraiser at the Stone Tower Winery. We will be honoring Senator Barbara Favola and Senator Jennifer Wexton who sponsored “Conner’s Law”. The Fairfax County Times recently interviewed Sharon and Conner regarding “Conner’s Law” and Conner’s Advocacy of the Year Award! The Fairfax County Times has also agreed to cover the Winery event as well. I will be sending out a separate email outlining these exciting developments.
