Please help think of ideas for the garden. We can spend IMLS money on
Artists in Residence, but we are running out of time and nice weather
opportunities. I think we'll be talking about this at ArtChix
Thursday, but ideas, especially for artists, are still welcome.

If you have suggestions about artists who could add some great
sculpture and tie it in with a kid's program, this would be great.

I know we discussed Jim Gallucci, maybe we should return to that idea
just in order to get the job done. I think it is too late to
advertise for the summer Reading publication, but we could still do
something this summer and just advertise in the monthly Hemphill
flyer. Maybe do some of our own PR.

HMm.... am getting my own brainstorm here.... what if it tied in with
Takaezu and we had some really cool large sculptural forms similar in
style(only then whose idea would it be and woudl that be legal,
etc.)? Also, it has nothing to do with our original literary ideas
to tie in with the library (like featuring some well known book
characters or something.)

I think it would be great to somehow tie it into a popular children's
book ... don't have any ideas for artists - oh yes i do actually - Tom
Soumalinine (spelling?) I could see clay story book characters in the
garden. What if you did something that told a story as you walked
through the garden? Clay just seems perfect for outside/and it's so
kid-friendly to work with.
