Dear Teacher Jai Gurudev!   We are pleased to inform you that Sri Sri Institute for Advanced Research is organizing an "International Conference on Global Ancient Knowledge Systems: Ancient Solutions for Modern Challenges” on February 16th and 17th, 2021. Sri Sri Institute for Advanced Research (SSIAR) is the research wing of the Art of Living, founded under Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth (VVMVP) Trust. SSIAR’s mission is to apply the science of Global Ancient Knowledge Systems to the challenges of today. Its vision is to become an internationally renowned center of excellence for scientific enquiry into Global Ancient Knowledge Systems. Global Ancient Knowledge Systems is a term coined by SSIAR & refers to the ancient techniques, practices and traditions that encourage the spirit of scientific enquiry. Ancient knowledge systems stand alongside the global modern knowledge systems, often characterized as the ‘scientific worldview’, a term which came to prominence in the 17th Century.   Through this conference we aim to bring experts from the varied field of Global Ancient Knowledge Systems who are applying ancient and traditional knowledge to solve the global modern challenges. The modern scientific worldview is considered the gold standard to solve problems of humanity. However, recent years have highlighted the role of  Global Ancient Knowledge Systems  in providing a holistic and broader worldview which complements the modern scientific method. GAKS are based on ancient wisdom and are being validated increasingly with modern science. Through our conference we highlight the role of GAKS and its symbiosis with modern science to solve global challenges.   We would like to invite all our Art of Living teachers to participate in the conference and encourage their volunteers, friends and family members.
