As you've already heard, I'm trying to put together
an ArtMob event in Leakin Park on Saturday, May 23
with a raindate on Sunday.

Looking for all of the following, as well as any other
brainy ideas you might have ...

---

0. Poets or other performers.

1. Dogs to tour the installations. Might want to give
them a lecture on modern art, à la Joseph Beuys.

2. Chalkabout.

3. Picnic food to share.

4. Wondering about beer, wine, campfires, etc?
(Does anyone smoke anymore)?

5. Photography & other documentation.

6. Internet scan codes for the artworks.

7. Volunteers for that day, plus thru the summer.

8. Scrabble.

9. Movies in the evening.

---

I'll be out that way this coming Saturday for the
Baltimore Herb Festival. Give me a call at any time
if you'd like to talk about this, thx ...

Kind of you to ask, MAH —

I spoke with Doug today out at the Herb Fest in Leakin
Park. On Saturday, June 23 (raindate Sunday) we're
planning an Artmobile gathering to tour the sculptural
installations with dogs, read poetry (let us know if you
would like to read) & potluck-picnic at the gazebo near
the Crimea Mansion, aka Orianda House, etc ...

Although it's nearby, this is *not* the Carrie Murray
Nature Center. Park on the mansion parking lot, then
meet at the gazebo, marking one end of 2012's art trail.

The gazebo has 2 not-very-big grills, plus several picnic
tables. We can bring a Weber grill. If anyone has a
larger 55-gal barbeque grill that they would be willing
to negotiate, please talk to me. Also, let me know if you
would like to cook or read / lecture / present on themes
of Nature Art & Dogs (like Joseph Beuys & his hare). Let
me know if this all makes sense or if you need more info.

Sanzi asked:

Let's plan on roughly noon-5 pm for now, because
some of the poets will want to be at Area 405 for
an erotic poetry reading @ 7 pm. But, we might be
showing a movie which will reconfigure the schedule.

It helps me very much to get some feedback if you
are planning to attend, definitely not able to attend,
would like to read, would like to bring food, would
like to tell stories about your dog, whatever ...

Folks have questions about how exactly this event
is going to happen, in Leakin Park on Sat 23 Jun (rain
/ 24th) as part of — http://NatureArtInThePark.org

The location is the old gazebo on the grounds of
Orianda House / Crimea Mansion, where the Herb
Fest took place yesterday. Noon - 5 pm (at least)
on the 23rd, free & open to the public. I'm asking
the ArtMob to please email me some feedback (asap)
or call me with answers to the following questions ...

1. Would you like to attend this event? How many
friends, dogs & poets might you be bringing along?

2. Is this a good date for you (or not)?

3. Would you like to read o0r play music at the
event, or present anything else? Do you have friends
who might like to read? Please contact me asap.

4. Is there anything else that should be there?

5. Any other event questions or suggestions?

The Nature Art Loop sculpture trail winds its way
from this place through the woods to the Carrie
Murray Nature Center. Near the gazebo are picnic
tables & 2 grills for our use, plus spot-a-pots. We
are not planning to feed the public, but if you would
like to cook food for your family, or to share with
others, you are encouraged to do so. We can truck
in more grills or anything else that you think you
might like (talk to me). I'll write back in a few days
to let everyone know how things are progressing.

Thank you,

In other news —

I would like to report that today is a bit of a personal
best day for me. The interactive lexical project that I
curate on Twitter, called @metaWord, recently signed
on its 5,000th follower (yea)! Not exactly a Hollywood
blockbuster, but for me 5k is a pretty big number.

Anyone who would like to check out today's metaWord
(which happens to be 'merrythought', btw) can click
below. Anyone know what a merrythought is? Hint:
it's part of a bird ...
