Hello all,
Seems such a long time to catch up on my newsletter. Don’t know what I
did with all the time the past two weeks but it just flew by.
The highlight of course was my visit to Kerrin from Sigmosaics on
Etsy. It was great to see her again and catch up. Also a bit sad of
course as Kerrin is relocating to New Zealand. And since the move is
just a few days away now, there was a lot of saying goodbye involved
while being in Portugal.
We brought the cats Barnaby & Moggy to a temporary home and it was
heartbreaking saying goodbye to them. Even though I had only known
them for a few days, I couldn’t help shedding a tear too! They are
such fun & friendly cats. But I’m sure they will find a nice and
loving home.
We also went to the park with a few friends and kids and mommy’s
needed to say bye bye too. It’s not easy when you have lived and loved
7 years of your life in a wonderful place. But Kerrin is such a strong
person, I’m sure that even though it’s hard for her, she’ll manage
really well.
I’m so grateful she invited me to come to Portugal and join her family
for a few days.
Having 3 kiddies running around sure makes life busy. Kerrin makes for
an amazing mommy and she seemed to make it look so easy. I don’t think
I would get as much done as her with 3 kids around. They are gorgeous
little people & I loved getting to know them a bit better.
We also packed up some boxes and did a lot of chatting of course.
On saturday, Ana from Nanouke on Etsy came to Kerrin’s home too. I was
super pleased to meet her! What a beautiful an warm person she is!
She’s one of the people that I have had a strong Etsy-bond with since
the beginning so to finally meet her was YAY!
The weather was also super: some days still 25°C but it didn’t feel
hot hot but just right! I actually got a little tanned.
We also went for a visit to the beach – hmm love the smell of the
beach & it made me happy to dig my feet in the sand and jump with the
kids in the water.
All fun things sometime end, so we also had to say goodbye. I hate
airports!
But it wasn’t too hard as we both knew we would only be a convo
away...
Coming home and catching up is like running around like a headless
chicken trying to do it all at once. I did have a wonderful surprise
to come home to as I received a lovely package from Lisa Tilse from
the Red Thread.
Wanna see?

I was sitting on cloud 9 for a while…
After catching up on some e-mail and sending out orders I got out my
glazes and started making a colorchart for my new workspace and I
glazed some very big buttons for Ira Grant’s new bags. I hope they
will come out of the kiln nicely.
I also have started the search of a part time job again. I really
don’t like the idea of thinking about working elsewhere then home but
bills need to be paid so I hope I’ll be able to combine it. Wish me
luck…
I have been lazy about the Babette Blanket these past 2 weeks so I
won’t have an update on that but I’m cheekily working on something
else so hop into my blog on saturday to see! :)
Oh, and talk about cheeky: I ordered 25 happy balls of Merino yarn
yesterday. *squeals excitedly*
Jip, working on my stash! :)
Hope you are all in good spirits and enjoying life!
Happy weekend to you all!
Love,
Mitsy
