Hello all,
How quick this week went by or maybe it has just been a bit busy at
our home that I did’t realise the days slip by…
The weekend was nicely split up between socializing activities,
creative time and house chores. I did some glazing & I posted a
tutorial on how to color clay gradually. It’s not only possible to do
this with ceramic clay but also with polymer clay. It’s great if you
want to work ‘ton-sur-ton’.
You can find the tutorial here:

On monday we started what we have been talking about for the last 6
years but kept postponing: change our livingspace to make it more
useable.
We both like to sit in the kitchen, spent time in our workspace or be
outside.
We hardly ever used the livingroom & diningroom so the space was kind
of lost.
Time to change things around! We plan to make a workspace from the
livingroom and a lounge area from the dining room. Perhaps we will
even put a little teevee in there…
During the weekend, I changed around the furniture to see how it would
look.
I wonder now why we didn’t do this before as it’s going to be so great
to finally use the space.
I packed up all the things that were in the cabinets in boxes and made
everything ready to start painting. We went to buy paint & I started
painting.
My partner’s eyesight is not very well, even though he has glasses.
We’re changing the color form light cream to lily white so it is kind
of hard to see which parts are painted or not. So instead of being
upset about him painting in all directions except the right way, we
made a deal: I would paint, he would put the floorboards.
He did make sure my inner being (read: food) was taken well care off
while I was painting.
By now, I need to paint only one more wall and two doors & then I’m
done with my job. After the weekend, my partner will start putting
down the floorboards.
I’m also browsing the internet to find a suitable table for my new
workspace. I want it to be sturdy and big enough. I’ll be abusing it
heavily while kneading my clay.
I’m also searching for some handy cabinets and racks but so far
haven’t found anything that I like. It might look a bit empty at the
beginning but I’m sure the workspace will fill up really quick!
I’m looking forward to start claying again soon – I promised my secret
partner to sent some prototype samples next week but I’m afraid I
can’t keep that promise as I have not seen my workspace this week…
But, I did post a new picture on what I have been working on… another
chance for you to find out who I’m working with!

And in case you have not seen the new things I listed in my shop last
week, check ‘em out here:

Hope you are all in good spirits and enjoying life!
Happy weekend to you all!
