Hello all,

This will be a very quick newsletter as I haven’t been doing much then
preparing for the fair this sunday.
It’s been a rather crazy week with claying my bum off to fill the
kiln, sanding feelings, assembling brooches, hairpins and rings,
making a display,…

I have been working on herb tags for a fair that I go to in June and
the theme is ‘herbs’. The people who organise it asked if we could do
something specific for this theme so I made some tags to put in pots.
But then I thought: why not take ‘em to this fair too?
That means that I did 2 kiln runs this week: a bisque temperature and
a porcelain temperature. That’s why I’ve been more busy then anything
and I do wonder sometimes why I pressure myself that much all the
time.
But it will be fun to see how they will do at the fair and if I need
to make more for my next one.
I’m not sure if I will add them to my shop as they are all in Dutch.
Will show them next week if there’s any left! LOL :)

On Monday I got a lot of convoes and e-mails from people that told me
about a copy cat on Etsy. I’m not flattered at all – the work is
simply horrible but the idea, shape, textures and even the photography
is stolen from me.
How sad to see that people do such things but I was wondering when
someone was copying my work.
I’ve heard that she denies copying it and she only recently discovered
my shop. Yeah right, lousy excuse!
Check out her copy here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39906923
I was super surprised with the support from all the people that
Twittered and send me a convo me to let me know how much they loved my
work.
If you were one of them: thank you, it was just what I needed!
Anyway, I’m trying to find out when exactly she made this work and
will confront her with the facts as soon as I find out. How lame can
you be? It is making me a bit sad but I’ll feel better after I’ve
contacted her I hope. I know some people already did contact her to
confront her and I really appreciate that so many people are
supporting me on this! Thanks again!
Ha! I might even put it in my blog but I’ll give that some more
thought before I go ahead with that… to be continued.

Today, one of my tutorials is featured at Poppytalk Handmade. Go check
it out if you have a chance. http://artmind-etcetera.blogspot.com/2010/03/tutorial-on-poppytalk-handmade.html

Happy weekend to you all!
Love,
Mitsy
