Hello all,
I can’t believe it’s friday evening and I haven’t sent out my
newsletter yet!
Normally I write it on thursdays but this week has been hectic doing
all sorts of things.
I spent the weekend on the attic trying to clear some stuff from it.
It’s unbelievable what a keeper I am! I decided to become a thrower
and emptied many boxes filled with folders, flyers, old museum
tickets, train/plane/bus-tickets, travelitinerary’s,… I decided to
only keep the pictures and the journals of my former travels. It was
kind of fun too though to see all of it back.
So I did spent a lot of time on the attic going through all sorts of
old stuff.
I posted a clay/plaster related tutorial on my blog last sunday and I
have been thinking about what other tutorials I can make. I posted so
many already that it’s hard to come up with things that are new. But
then, things that are old to me, might be new to someone else…

On monday I started to participate in a new weekly feature on the
European Streetteam on Etsy: make a moodboard with items from the
streetteammembers.
A nice way to let blogreaders get to know new shops.
I did a bit of claying but somehow did not feel at ease in all the
mess so I gave up on that.
Tuesday was a new attempt on claying and I did manage to finish a few
feelings on the list. I also did more cleaning and clearing & wiping
and moping… sigh it seemed like it never ended…
Wednesday was spent carrying all clay related things downstairs to
install myself in the new workspace. Wondered why I had so much stuff
and happy on not having to carry the 10kg bags of clay upstairs again!
I still didn’t find fun cabinets or nice racks so I will have to pay a
visit to Ikea sometime soon. For now I’m used the winecrates that were
on my fair display. It works fine temporary because lot’s of things
are still stored elsewhere.
It is so light and airy in my new workspace. I absolutely love it. I
have pulled up the shades of the window and I can look outside and spy
on the neighbors. Some of them even pop by to knock on my window to
say hello! Superfun!
There’s a big vase of lilies in front of the window too ‘cause I
wouldn’t feel comfortable if people watched me at all times. So I can
see them more easy then they can see me really – perfect! :)

Thursday was spent claying and glazing to fill up the kiln. While it’s
dry firing right now, I’m working on the secret project. I’m still
making samples and hope to sent them to my secret partner next week.
Than she can decide what’s useable or not.
Today I was distracted and made two things that we didn’t discuss. I’m
debating if I should take pictures and show her or if I should just
let it be a surprise…

Today I posted the first post on the secret santa from the European
Streetteam. I happy to know that even people who are not part of the
team are enjoying the post. They take a long time to make but it’s all
part of the fun & knowing that it makes people smile just makes my
day!

In the evenings I spent time working on my Babette blanket. It’s
looking good so far. Will show pictures of that in my blog tomorrow so
don’t hesitate to stop by!
So looking forward to my little trip to Portugal next week too! So
just saying that there won’t be a newsletter next week… Jip, I’m
actually taking a few days off! :)
Hope you are all in good spirits and enjoying life!
Happy weekend to you all!
Love,
Mitsy
