After I managed to put the kiln on Friday evening I decided that is
was time to relax for the rest of the evening & spend it on the couch
with my crochet hook & yarn. Rippling is fun to do but I do need to
pay attention to counting the stitches carefully as I have unrippled
my work more then once since I started. But I also found a way of
cheating so I didn’t have to unripple it all again.
I continued making greeting cards on saturday and really enjoyed it.
There is something calming about paper and putting together my cards.
I made a list of all the felt tokens I still need to sew and I’m
afraid I’ll be busy for a few weeks. I do this mainly while we drive
to places but I think that we need a long holiday drive to finish what
I planned.
I made new design too, really happy and fun. Check it out here:

Sunday was spend emptying the kiln and doing the final sanding of the
porcelain pieces that I’m sending to my collaboration partner, Anna
(LilaRubyKing) Luckily the final sanding is just to get the roughness
off & it doesn’t involve too much energy. It’s amazing how strong
porcelain is after it’s fired high temperature. I love it.
In the afternoon we went to a family gathering which always involves
eating & laughing too much. Is the ‘too much’ part possible in
combination with these 2 verbs?
The long and cold winter is making me restless! I’m in need of
sunshine, bloom and birds waking me up in the morning. I seem to get
less and less done due to lack of motivation so spring needs to arrive
quick! I do enjoy taking it a bit easier though.
I played a bit with wallpaper books and tried a few things here and
there and I made some prototypes. After they are fired I’ll try to
assemble the mobiles/wind chimes I’m working on and if it works out,
I’ll be making more for my shop. It will be nice to hang outside when
spring finally arrives.
Oh and I also managed to finish the custom feeling I made for Renovia
from EndlessWhimsy on Etsy & I love it. The feeling ‘moved’ turned out
really pretty and I’m a bit sad it’s not part of my 99-feelings
project.
I will show it after it has been fired.
Someone also did a bad copy of my Polymer clay tutorial that got
published on Poppytalk.
I didn’t get angry or upset but did feel a bit sad about it so I just
left a subtle comment on the blog and a few hours later it was taken
down. Yay!
How a few small words can create awareness… it felt great that it was
taken down without losing much energy on it.
Happy weekend to you all!
Love,
Mitsy
