Join the worldwide celebration of music on June 21!
Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on Saturday, June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries. More than 5.3K music-making events took place nationwide in 2024.

June 30th: Call for submissions: 2025 Heritage Craft Prize - $25,000
Nest's Heritage Craft Prize celebrates Texan artists and craftspeople who are blazing their own trail by reimagining heritage craft techniques through the use of innovative motifs and materials. Makers, artists, and craftspeople living and producing in Texas are encouraged to enter a submission that demonstrates their technical mastery, as well as a thoughtful connection to cultural tradition through a singular, one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece. July 2nd: Illuminations Grant
The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists is an annual $10,000 grant awarded to provide critical support to Black trans women whose work has often been under-recognized in the visual art field. Now in its 5th year, the Illuminations Grant was developed and named in partnership with Mariette Pathy Allen, Aaryn Lang, and Serena Jara. Winning artists and finalists will receive additional professional development resources and further guidance to bolster their creative development in the field. Learn more here.

Artist INC gives you the tools and connections to overcome the challenges you’re facing in your creative career and build sustainable long-term success. Artist INC is open to artists of any discipline. Each year, 25 artists are selected to participate in this 8-week program led by trained peer facilitators. Artists will learn how to expertly run the business side of their creative practice through direct mentorship, lectures, group activities, and peer support weekly. APPLICATION OPEN NOW UNTIL JUNE 23. The Teaching Artist is a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player who, as a contract employee, assists the Education and Community Engagement Team with the implementation of fine arts curriculum that supports ECE programs and initiatives. The ideal Teaching Artist has a creative, collaborative spirit and a strong desire to embrace opportunity and build sustainable program structures. The Teaching Artist must be comfortable leading groups of K-12 and adult learners in exercises celebrating dance or visual arts as well as structuring a curriculum in an engaging, creative, and fun way.
