Join Fresh Arts and Nicole Peralta in our Vision Board Workshop!!

Join us in the Arts District for a fun way to kick-off 2024!

In partnership with Fresh Arts, you’re invited to join us for a Vision Board Workshop led by artist & yoga instructor Nicole Peralta at Love Dance Studio from 6-8 PM. We’ll kick off the session with a grounding meditation & intention setting with Drea the Artist. Then, we’ll learn various ways to make a vision board: the combination of putting words, images and sketches in one place. This class will focus on the creative process: meditation with singing bowls with Drea, writing prompts & instruction with Nicole, and ending in the creation of your vision board.

SUPPLIED: Glue, scissors, poster board, magazines, pencils, pens, stickers and tape.

WHAT TO BRING: Your favorite art supplies
(scissors, stickers, photos, pens, paper, magazine images, glue, brushes,etc.)

 

This is an all-levels course with accessible and adaptable techniques for everyone. $15 Registration Fee.

Nicole Peralta is a yoga teacher and a multidisciplinary artist who has uniquely combined the elements of mindfulness, yoga, and creativity in workshops, classes and retreats in the US, Mexico, Guatemala & Colombia for over ten years. She wants to live in a world where people are empowered to believe in their ability to be a creative being and to discover their own mental and physical strength. Her art work is inspired by her time spent living and studying Latin American art practices especially textile weaving, printmaking, and drawing. In addition to her work as an artist and yogi, Nicole is the Cultural Arts manager for the local arts nonprofit Fresh Arts.

Andrea Venson, a.k.a. Drea the Artist, is a multi-faceted creative based in Houston, Texas. Her creative endeavors transcend conventional boundaries, delving into the profound interplay between spirituality, nature, and the human form. Her canvas comes alive with a symphony of vibrant colors and surreal compositions, offering viewers a captivating journey into the depths of her artistic vision. Beyond her role as an artist, Andrea serves as a meditation guide, crafting transformative experiences that blend the spiritual and the artistic. Simultaneously, she imparts her creative wisdom as a high school art instructor, nurturing the next generation of imaginative minds.

Not your typical business class, Artist INC is an eight-week seminar designed to address the specific professional and entrepreneurial challenges that artists of all disciplines face in their practices. The course is limited to 25 participants, but artists of any and all art practices are encouraged to apply!
