Nicole Longnecker Gallery, in partnership with the Gallery of Fluid Motion and the Paradoxluxe Collective, is thrilled to announce the third year of the Chaos Osmosis project. We invite Houston region artists to submit work exploring the captivating world of fluid dynamics—the movement and behavior of liquids and gases. Submission deadline: July 30, 2025.
This exhibition celebrates the rich intersections of art and science, illuminating the dynamic and expansive nature of fluid dynamics. We welcome artists and scientists from all disciplines and backgrounds to submit works in any medium—video, photography, painting, sculpture, installation, mixed media, and more. This call encourages Houston artists to creatively interpret the science of fluid dynamics, with opportunities for professional growth and public visibility.
Selected works will be showcased at two prestigious venues: Nicole Longnecker Gallery and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, with an opening scheduled for October 2025. Top submissions may be recognized as Milton Van Dyke Awardees or Gallery Winners by the Gallery of Fluid Motion, with potential publication in Physical Review Fluids. Various artworks will be available for sale. Note: All artwork must be dropped off and picked up in person.
