Open Economy proposal

The root of our economic problem is secrecy. Corporate secrecy supported by government complicity. Corporations have no justified need ( right ) to keep secrets. They have no rights period! They are expressions of private capital in the marketplace. They are "private power" consolidated into organizations designed to increase private power. They have no rights. They have privileges. In order to acquire those privileges they need to give up secrecy and operate in the open.
This means that all economic transactions of all corporations need to be open data for everyone to see. How much do they pay their employees? How much do they pay for raw materials? How much do they pay for equipment? How much do they pay corporate directors? How much do they charge wholesalers of their products? How much do they charge retailers? All information needs to be in the open.
How can it be enforced? Through cooperative agreements between nations. If a nation does not cooperate and disclose all data on corporations then their products can be "taxed" via tariffs. This is the right idea in international trade. The "FREE TRADE" idea is to keep corporations from being forced to do anything. It's exactly the wrong direction. The right direction is OPEN trade. GIVE THE ADVANTAGE to nations which require their corporations to live in the open. Then WE THE PEOPLE can judge the corporations. But when we are denied the data, we cannot make good decisions.
This would include complete disclosure of who owns a corporation. Secret parties should not be allowed. Ownership by other corporate entites must follow the same disclosure rules. If those corporations are not open then they may not purchase stock.
The penalty will be a tarrif on all goods or services exported for corporations which did not want to reveal such information and live in the open.
This will give the ADVANTAGE to those corporation and those nations which follow and enforce the rule of openness. It is a layer of control which can be put on corporations by international agreements and enforced through tarrifs and the puchasing decisions of individuals. WE THE PEOPLE can decide to support nations and corporations which live in the open.
