OUTDOORS/NIGHT: Village square, hilltop, riverbank
A refreshing breeze caresses the legs of the many spectators gathered in front of a film screening this August. Under the starry sky, they're not there to waste time, but to watch the selection from the À la dérive! festival.
À la Dérive! is a traveling open-air cinema using bicycles, bicycle-powered equipment (transported by bike), and pedal-powered technology (electricity is generated by pedaling). For this third edition, a small group will hit the road for two weeks during August 2026.
This year's theme is OUTDOORS—the kind we breathe in or the kind we miss, the kind of outdoor experience of bivouacking under the stars or the smell of asphalt after the rain, the kind that inspires us to create and drives us to discover.
That's where you come in!
Whether your film is a paragliding road movie or a grasshopper migration, whether its heroine is a shepherdess or a frog, a tree or a kite, whether its setting is a park bench, an apartment in the summer with the fan on full blast, or outside on a cold winter night, your film is perfect for this selection!
Documentary, fiction, storytelling: as long as your film offers a breath of fresh air and isn't just empty talk, we hope it will find its place in this whirlwind of cinema!

Organized by the association Au Gré du Vent, this traveling festival aims to offer cultural content with independent distribution in rural areas. The festival primarily features a short film program and will sometimes be accompanied by a concert or live performance. And in any case, popcorn and cold drinks will be provided!
