Desperately seeking a painting

I can't expect any right answers but if anyone has any ideas please
send them to me, ANY IDEAS!

I am looking for a painting from the 1930's i believe, but no later
than the 50's, I remember this painting from my childhood so my
recollection is fuzzy. It is off a little girl in a dress facing a
wall. she has her head down slightly and the outline of the scene is
for the most part undefined. it is possible there was an animal at
her feet, but i can't remember. If anyone has any ideas, or knows of
a similiar painting or of an artist from this time that might be the
one or has similiar paintings please let me know.

The one that most comes to my mind of that time period is a Norman Rockwell apainting that I've attached a thumbnail of but it's a doll I think in the painting. Sorry my mind draws a blank for any others
