Fund-raiser for Arts Education in Nicaragua

This Friday May 30 beginning at 7pm, YIV presents a night of World
Music and host the opening of an art & photography show to benefit
Building New Hope's Arts Education Program in Granada, Nicaragua. The
evening coincides with the Final Fridays Gallery Crawl in
Lawrenceville.

For the entire month of June, YIV will be showing and selling artwork
from various local artists to benefit the Arts Education Resource
Center in Granada, Nicaragua. The center provides collaborative
assistance, guidance for funding, an arts curriculum, and creative
sustainability to a small community of schools in Granada, Nicaragua.

Building New Hope volunteer Mauren Antkowski will be present on Friday
May 30 to talk about the center and its projects.

Coinciding with the opening is YIV's latest Globalista Jam, a new
series of Open Mic Nights dedicated to World & Folk music and
performance. Musicians, dancers, storytellers and cultural ambassadors
from a variety of backgrounds and influences are invited to take the
stage to present their art.
