This year is extremely exciting - so much so, we're heading to China
in June of 2008.

To raise money, the PYSO Parents Assn has organized a raffle of
painted instruments that local Pittsburgh artists have designed. There
are some fantastic pieces - I hope you'll check them out (and if
you're interested even buy some tickets) at:

You can find out information about the instruments here:
http://www.pyso.us/Painted%20Violins%20&%20Other%20Intriguing%20Instruments.html

you can view a pdf of the instruments here:

For those of you who are in the Pittsburgh area, you can view them up
close and personal at our next (FREE) concert on Sunday, February 24
at Heinz Hall. The concert starts at 2:00 p.m. and the program
includes Stravinsky's Petrushka, Michael Torke's Javelin, and Bizet's
Carmen Suite No.1.
