Welcome to the list, and thanks Alban for being the first to send
feedback. I've been a bit slow to answer - my apologies, I was
traveling - but I hope we can kick this list alive now.

Thanks! we're looking forward to seeing the data reused in cool apps.
Be sure to announce them here!

Excellent. We're really doing our best to provide a fast,
uninterrupted service, even though TAB runs as a non-profit
organization and relies a lot on volunteer time. There may be some
downtime in the months to come - we are looking into hosting all the
artbeat sites together on some fast iron, probably outside of Japan -
but I'll try to give some advance warning here.

Both seem feasible. The former would be easy and I'm adding it to our
tracker as I write this. For the latter, no objection, but we may have
to test whether the current server scales before making it a permanent
feature. Any particular use case behind the 2000, 3000m SearchRange
need? Or would you just rather have a "no limit in distance" (with,
quite possibly, a hardcoded limit in the number of events returned,
for sanity)?
Cheers,
