Greetings of knowledge, culture, achievement, and history,

We salute you and, through you, all Palestinian and Israeli academics who stand with the Palestinian people and defend their legitimate rights to freedom, independence, and justice.

The Palestinian people are one people, regardless of the different cantons, identities, passports, and settlements. No matter how politics and geography attempt to impose division and fragmentation, the unity of history, memory, and identity will remain stronger than all attempts to tear it apart.

I would like to inform you that the Executive Council of the Arab Translators Association (ARTA) has decided to honor you and award you an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of your distinguished academic and professional career, your valuable contributions to the study and documentation of Palestinian history, and your commitment to historical truth through scholarship and knowledge.

This honor is not merely a certificate or a title; it is a cultural act and a message of appreciation to a scholar and historian who has devoted many years to the service of knowledge and history. It also represents a cultural and moral position that will remain a lasting event in the record of Arab and Palestinian culture.

ברצוני להודיע לך כי הוועד הפועל של אגודת המתרגמים הערבים (ARTA) החליט להוקיר אותך ולהעניק לך תואר דוקטור לשם כבוד, כהוקרה על הקריירה האקדמית והמקצועית המכובדת שלך, על תרומתך החשובה לחקר ולתיעוד ההיסטוריה הפלסטינית, ועל מחויבותך לאמת ההיסטורית באמצעות מחקר וידע.

הוקרה זו איננה רק תעודה או תואר, אלא מעשה תרבותי ומסר של הערכה לחוקר ולהיסטוריון שהקדיש שנים רבות לשירות הידע וההיסטוריה. כמו כן, היא מייצגת עמדה תרבותית ומוסרית שתישאר אירוע משמעותי בזיכרון התרבות הערבית והפלסטינית.

تحية العلم والثقافة والإنجاز والتاريخ،

نحييكم ونحيي من خلالكم كل الأكاديميين الفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين الذين يقفون إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني ويدافعون عن حقوقه المشروعة في الحرية والاستقلال والعدالة.

إن الشعب الفلسطيني شعب واحد، مهما تعددت الكنتونات والهويات والجوازات والمستعمرات، ومهما حاولت السياسات والجغرافيا فرض واقع التجزئة والانقسام عليه. وستبقى وحدة التاريخ والذاكرة والهوية أقوى من كل محاولات التمزيق.

أود أن أبلغكم بأن المجلس التنفيذي لجمعية المترجمين العرب (آرتا) قد قرر تكريمكم ومنحكم الدكتوراه الفخرية، تقديرًا لمسيرتكم الأكاديمية والمهنية المتميزة، وإسهاماتكم القيمة في دراسة التاريخ الفلسطيني وتوثيقه، ودفاعكم عن الحقيقة التاريخية من خلال البحث العلمي والمعرفة.

إن تكريمكم ليس مجرد شهادة أو لقب، بل هو فعل ثقافي ورسالة وفاء لعالم ومؤرخ كرّس سنوات طويلة لخدمة المعرفة والتاريخ. كما أن هذا التكريم يمثل موقفًا ثقافيًا وأخلاقيًا، وسيبقى حدثًا خالدًا في سجل الثقافة العربية والفلسطينية.
