Upper School Visual Arts Teacher

The Harpeth Hall School seeks a dynamic and creative visual arts teacher, who is qualified to teach all levels of upper school art, including AP Studio Art.  The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree, and have at least three years of teaching experience, along with department chair or other administrative experience.  The candidate will have an enthusiasm for working with high school girls, excellent writing and communication skills, a commitment to innovative pedagogy and an ease in using technology and the tablet laptop as classroom tools.    The Upper School Visual Arts Department works as a team in maintaining and ensuring a strong art curriculum in grades 5-12.  This position is a full-time opening for the 2015-2016 academic year, and includes being an advisor and a sponsor of assigned co-curricular activities in the Upper School.    Candidates should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vita, references, and a statement of educational philosophy to usj...@harpethhall.org.
