Greetings from Sir Brand.

This Sunday, Oct. 7 8:00 AM (I set it early in part to accommodate
the Carn Practice at Noon) those interested in the event called "Art
of War" are meeting
at the proposed site (Camp Pigott, 24425 Woods Creek Road)*

We will meet, lay out plans, ideas, answer questions, put forth
proposals, walk the site and, most importantly, discuss logistics for
putting on a major event in just 6 months. We will decide that day (Sunday) if
the event should be continued as scheduled, delayed a week or three,
put off until 2009, or given to another group (like BaO) to have
elsewhere (like Dragon'sSphere).

I would greatly value your input since you have shown early interest
in the event.
Can you attend or designate a local representative to share your
interests, needs, concerns and questions?

The big questions are:
1) It's a dry site. Will a "just-off-site" beer garden be sufficient
to keep the event from failing.
2) Is 6 months long enough to plan and execute this properly? Should
we plan on 2009, to give us time to contact teachers from afar, etc.?
3) Are Brand's plans/ideas/concepts/feelings about this event
supported by anything close to reality? ;-)
4) Will the site work for what Brand has in mind?
5) If we decide on another venue, can one be found in time?

Thanks, Brand.

I-5 Exit 194 to merge onto US - 2 E towards Wenatchee. Go 5.1 Miles
Take the WA - 9 Exit toward Arlington/Bothell (.2 miles)
Take a Left at WA-9 for about .2 miles (go just over the bridge then
Turn Right at New Bunk Foss Road, follow it for 1.2 miles.
[Map Programs may say to continue East after that 1.2 miles by making
a slight left after a stop sign where Bunk Foss becomes Ritchey Rd. I
found Ritchey Road very curvy for anyone with, like, a trailer. So I
recommend turning left onto Old Machias Rd at the stop sign and
following it as it turns slowly to S. Machias Road. About a mile, if that.]
Turn Left (North) on S. Machias Road
Go north 1 mile and Turn Right (just past an Espresso Stand on the
West Side of the road) onto Dubuque Road.
Follow Dubuque Rd. East for 7.4 miles. You go past a Transfer Station Drop Box
area on your left.
The road becomes Woods Creek Road. Follow it East for .8 miles. The
Camp Road is on your left, has two black mail boxes and a sign facing
West Bound Traffic, as I remember.

Go up the driveway (past the the house on your right) and park in the
big gravel parking lot on your right.)
My Cell is 206*291*6205 to find us.
