We have gotten to the end of another semester, and here is a list of reminders.

Generally, AAEP 1600 closes after the last day of classes. This means that all work is due tonight (December 12) at 11:59, UNLESS students have negotiated any extensions with instructors before tonight's deadline. That means we accept no other missing worksheets, quizzes, or other assignments after today. The only official exceptions to this rule are family or medical emergencies with a doctor's note. Any other exceptions you choose to make depend upon how lenient you want to be.

As soon as your grading is done, you are free to calculate and turn in grades. As I stated earlier, Carmen has a way of exporting grades directly into BudkeyeLink Faculty Center, but it is notoriously unreliable. The best way input grades is directly on the Grade Roster in Faculty Center. This tutorial will help: https://admin.resources.osu.edu/student-information-system-sis/sis-faculty-center/how-to-post-final-grades-using-the-grade-roster?check_logged_in=1

If you have any misconduct cases such as plagiarism or other matters, GTA's should report them to me, and I will handle them. You will need to supply me with the Turnitin report from Speed Grader, a copy of the student's work, and your explanation of the situation. I will submit these to the Committee on Academic Misconduct. I choose to do this for GTAs because most of you will be off contract by the time the committee processes the report. I can help anyone with this preparation, just ask.

Faculty should process cases for COAM themselves, though I am here to shepherd anyone through the process and give any advice, as needed.

I will be working from home for the rest of this week, and I am happy to talk about any class related issues on Zoom or on the phone. Mornings are the best times for such conversations.

This email should help you get started with closing out the semester. I'll send more information down the line.

Questions? I'm here to help, just ask.

Best,

clayton
