Hello Instructors!
It's that time of the semester, again, the Film worksheets are in and ready to go. I will assume we can have these worksheets graded in 18 days, by Friday December 5.
New instructors will find that the Film Worksheet is similar to the Art Worksheet, but with questions on film and their understanding their film viewing experiences.
For the new instructors, we do NOT have a final exam. The Film Worksheet is our culminating assessment. So, when you have the last of your grading done, the course is over!
If anyone runs into the rare occurrence of plagiarism, GTA's should address these cases to me. But lecturers and professors should handle their own plagiarism cases, though I am happy to lend any advice or support needed.
I'm happy to set up a Zoom meeting for new instructors if we need to. This time of the semester is usually quite busy, and sometimes a meeting is hard to schedule.
To clear the air, students are NOT required to see a film in a theatre. Years ago we used to require theater viewing, but with all the films and series that stream on television and other media these days, theatre viewing is now an option.
If you have a question about the film worksheet, either put out a question on the Google Group we have, or email me directly.
We are almost done!
Best,
clayton
