The Sky of Lovers is the last release of a Single by Gerardo
Tristano.Written on October 2009 the work is for ten instruments:
Violin Viola Violoncello Classic Guitar Basso Piano Trombone Drums
Vibraphone Glockenspiel.The piece is not dedicated to anyone but
lovers.The Italian composer this time looked at the very core of
music,nullifying the ornaments and all similar things for pointing to
the way music is in itself starting and holding the horn of the moon
in the same and unchangeable direction.Listening to his music one can
feel in a perfect way his new language,neither private language nor
jargon,but all entirely focused around his ideas,his neoromantic
intonations,his feeling of life as nature as creation.The will of
being present to himself and to all his public.And this time the
Italian master hits the strings of a soloist classic guitar with the
presence of three strings and a piano very interesting in its
gesture.WHAT IS THIS SKY?It is a question we would like to do to the
composer self and we wonder if it is truly an answer.Nevertheless he
lets us imagine that there is only a sky beyond the sky.Maybe in that
final so evanescent and enchanting we can feel the transience of it.
