Position: Administrative Assistant – Community Development Unit
Location: One State Street, New York, NY (100% Onsite)
Duration: 2 Years
Bachelor’s degree in:
Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Urban Planning, or related field
1+ year experience in:
Community development
Economic development
Constituent services (public or nonprofit sector)
6+ months hands-on experience with GIS tools (MIPro, ArcGIS, etc.)
Proof of eligibility to work in New York State
The Administrative Assistant will support the Community Development Unit in the Consumer Protection and Financial Enforcement Division.
Core DutiesReview & analyze:
Branch opening/closing/relocation applications
Bank mergers & conversions
Field of membership expansions
Change-of-control applications
Review Banking Development District (BDD) Program:
Renewal deposit applications
Progress Report forms
Conduct socioeconomic & geocoding data analysis
Support CDU with additional administrative & analytical tasks as assigned
Working knowledge of:
Microsoft Word
Excel
Outlook
PowerPoint
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM (37.5 hrs/week)
Telecommuting: May be allowed at the hiring manager’s discretion
Training will be provided
Office is bus-accessible (no parking provided)
