Position: Administrative Assistant – Community Development Unit
Location: One State Street, New York, NY (100% Onsite)
Duration: 2 Years 


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Urban Planning, or related field

  • 1+ year experience in:

    • Community development

    • Economic development

    • Constituent services (public or nonprofit sector)

  • 6+ months hands-on experience with GIS tools (MIPro, ArcGIS, etc.)

  • Proof of eligibility to work in New York State


Job Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will support the Community Development Unit in the Consumer Protection and Financial Enforcement Division.

Core Duties
  • Review & analyze:

    • Branch opening/closing/relocation applications

    • Bank mergers & conversions

    • Field of membership expansions

    • Change-of-control applications

  • Review Banking Development District (BDD) Program:

    • Renewal deposit applications

    • Progress Report forms

  • Conduct socioeconomic & geocoding data analysis

  • Support CDU with additional administrative & analytical tasks as assigned


Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of:

    • Microsoft Word

    • Excel

    • Outlook

    • PowerPoint


Additional Information
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM (37.5 hrs/week)

  • Telecommuting: May be allowed at the hiring manager’s discretion

  • Training will be provided

  • Office is bus-accessible (no parking provided)

  • Interviews will be in-person or virtual
