HI all -

Matthew Newell provided me with a ton of assistance coaxing Arsenal
suite to build recently, from which I'm putting together my notes to
contribute to the wiki pages and a text file that Matthew started.

I am, however, running in to problems getting everything kicked up and
going on Windows. From earlier posts, I've figured that I'm
concentrating on getting manager.py, verifier.py, reaper.py and
burner.exe running.

Sorry - accidentally posted this too quickly.

So, with manager, verifier and reaper, I get them started and can
confirm they're talking to the database, however, I get a ton of
errors in returned to stdout and in my postgres log (set to debug1).
I can post a log excerpt if requested, mostly complaining about
permissions.

Burner runs - but exits silently.

Freezer runs, some missing buttons in the toolbar, I can try to
address that myself later.

I saw that a few people had reported success in getting built and set
up on Windows before in the group, does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

I would try to increase the MaxSeverity within the Logging section in
ab.ini. Hopefully, it will reveal what the problem is. Maybe, you
should run the sever processes with an increased MaxSeverity value
until everything works.

Did you start burner with -auto-register? If so, does the host appear
in freezer?

Regards,
Zsolt

Hi Zsolt - I did start burner with -auto-register after a couple
rounds of talking to Matthew. Not appearing in my host list in
freezer however.

Hi Justin,

Assuming that you have created your database according to wiki/INSTALL:

Maybe sql/blur_starter_db.sql and/or sql/blur_starter_views.sql are
outdated. I'm not sure if classmaker supposed to fix/can fix your
database ( classmaker -s cpp/lib/classes/schema.xml -> 'Create
Database' )

Regards,
Zsolt

Ok - so I do have my test hosts in the list atm ... I'm guessing this
is the point I try to send it a job through absubmit?

All - so I did manage to get all the pieces up and running. I'm going
to be attempting to send something here in a second.

Zsolt -

I did drop and recreate the db via classmaker. My one concern is that
not all the views and the stored procedures that the starter db and
views .sql files created end up created ... when I do try to create
them, I get complaints about missing columns.
