Hi again!

There is one large question we cannot wrap our head around: how does building permiting process work? If I understand correctly the big white box that's in the office, is the package of documents that was submitted to the city licencing office. But it looks way too detailed to be a planning application project.

Reflecting on my experience in Estonia, there are 3 project stages, 1) preliminary project- that is sent to the city office for building permission. 2)main project- that is used to get price offers from contractors 3)work project- that is used to actually build it.

The project package looks like the 3rd stage project, that's way too complex to apply for a building permit. What are the stages of a building project in Portugal, how have you followed them in this project?

It should have been the main task of the first teams to get a building permit. We have found notes saying that the project was finished and submitted for approval on at least 3 separate occasions. But the building permit says that the project was approved on 19 Jul 2013, but the permission was only emitted on 17 Apr 2013. When was the project submitted to the planning office? When was it approved and when was the building permit emitted? Were there problems with getting the permit, was the project rejected at some point? Are there any particularities in the system of applying for the building permit in Portugal?

Hi Taavi and Arrebitas,

It´s a bit difficult for me to explain you the whole building permits process by email...so I will explain everything that you wanna know about it, in the next Tuesday's meeting, ok?

By the way, we are planning to watch the Costa Rica vs Holland football match (Saturday 21:00h) somewhere downtown with the "Ticos" - do you guys wanna join us? If so, let me know! :)

Kisses,
Rita Ferreira
