Is there any way to get the debug symbols for the binary installations? I have an error that is triggering inside of afcpu.dll as an access violation that occurs when releasing an array after getting a new array by casting the original. This code has worked well in the past, and so I'm unsure what is going wrong now, and it would be helpful to know what is happening inside of afcpu.dll.

Hi Dr. Hsu,

The debug symbols are included in the Windows installers but they are disabled by default. You can enable them by selecting ArrayFire Debug symbols in the "Chooose Component" screen of the installer.

I can no longer see the debugging symbols listed in the latest release, is there another way to get access to them?

Hi Dr. Hsu,

We changed the way we built the binaries in the latest release to reduce the binary sizes. The debug builds have been getting extremely large with the addition of the new backend. We have been working on addressing this issue but in the mean time we are dropping it. If you are using the CPU backend and not using the new features, i suggest you use a previous version until we get this resolved.

Thanks

Umar
