I am a person who LOVES celebrating birthdays. I just love having something to look forward to, and I really enjoy making the people I cherish most feel special and recognized. When my kids were little I got a cheap happy birthday banner at Target. Every year the night before someone's birthday I would string it up with balloons so that when they came down the stairs in the morning it's the first thing they would see!
The birthday banner and balloons has definitely become one of our kids favorite traditions! With four young kids though the banner that I bought way back when bit the dust a long time ago! After replacing it a few times now, I finally decided it was time to make my own DIY happy birthday banner!
I have found that painting chip board can be super difficult and time consuming. I decided that I wanted to cover my banner in permanent vinyl instead. I was worried about matching the letters exactly if I applied it after the chipboard was cut, so I applied the vinyl to the chipboard before I made the letter cuts. It worked like a dream!
If you make this birthday banner, make sure to leave us a comment and positive review. They mean a lot to us! We'd also love if you'd share a photo and tag us on instagram @prettyprovidenceblog!
Such a stunning birthday banner! You did really amazing work. Next week I will be hosting baby shower party for my best friend and it will be great idea for that. The party will be held at some local garden DC venues. We all are so excited for this party!
Christmas is fast approaching, and life starts to become busier no matter how incredibly busy it already is! Count the parties to attend, gifts to give, tons of decorating to do and travel plans to make among many other things. All the excitement makes it easy to forget that safety should always be a priority. May our "Have a Safe and Happy Holiday banner" serve as a gentle reminder for everyone to stay safe.
Christmas banners can go beyond its purpose by encouraging observing best practices and preparedness. Sadly, the risk of burglary, theft, electrical hazards and fires remain present during the season. Precaution with candles and the use of Christmas lights, chimney inspection, child and pet supervision, kitchen safety, implementing state-of-the-art locks and ensuring properly working smoke detectors altogether contribute to utmost peace of mind.
Traditional colors of the season in high-quality print will surely blend well with your decorations. Welcome guests in style during their much anticipated visit. Let them receive your warmest greetings from a festive Christmas banner that says "Have a Safe and Happy Holiday!" At the end of the celebration, part with them your message of genuine concern for their safety and happiness.
First, download and print the Halloween banner on white cardstock. When printing, make sure to print full size or 100% to scale and choose the best print quality in order to maximize color.
Once the banner is cut out, attach the flags to twine with tiny clothespins. I like to collect mini-clothespins in a variety of colors for occasions just like this. Often, you can find the clothespins in clearance bins at craft stores, especially during after season sales. They are handy for a variety of small projects, such as displaying family photos and wrapping pretty gifts.
For natural lighting, we hung the banner on the wall next to a large window. Then, my kids had a blast making silly faces for the camera; and I loved documenting their unique personalities and funny expressions.
