While I was checking in order to answer your question, I discovered that the Pictures folder is not being backed up and could be, so I tried to turn it in. I had to give Dropbox "Full Disk Access" in order to add the Pictures folder to the list of folders that are backed up. Is it possible that granting Full Disk Access will (a) stop the requests that I posted about, and (b) have the effect I would have gotten if I had clicked Yes to allow Dropbox to access data from other apps? I will watch to see.

I keep getting these messages on my macbook. I dont want to allow access and I dont want to see these messages again. But specifically when I save a document in Office I get this popup like once a day. So annoying! I dont see a setting to control this. Please provide a solution, thanks

I'm on OS14.1.2 and I doubt many people are using OS12 or earlier so this seems to be not relevant. I've looked though all the menus in Dropbox and there is no mention of full disk access as far as I can see.

- Twitter: my timeline comes up no problem, but my settings return to default every time I open the app, e.g. I don't want videos to stream when I'm on mobile data, but it resets to allow this every time

I also get 'first time' instructions when I open other apps, even Apple ones like Photos. Its obviously not a major issue, but it's becoming quite irritating. I haven't done anything different in the past week or two (no backup to my laptop, no restart, no other issues that I can recall) other than upgrade to the latest iOS (problem existed on both) so I'm baffled as to what might be causing it. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Allen, thanks for your response. When I backed up my phone it suggested I download the latest iOS (I thought I already had), so I did as prompted and then tried using my phone again without the rest of the advice you suggested and it now appears to be working OK. If it does go back to the old issue though then I'll try your suggestion.

Presumably, Zoom has been benefitting from this informations previously, but not having required my consent, but now with the new security of Macos Sonoma, this is being prevented.

I would like to know how to permanently say "No" and disable future requests for this information. I suspect this can be part a Zoom update, where I can make the choice in settings and part with MacOS to add an option for this.

I have this same question. I accidentally allowed this today. It pops up all the time and it is disruptive and uncomfortable to see it. Why would you need this access? I'll figure out some way to disable. I'll probably spent 10 minutes or more trying to figure it out. What a waste of time. Zoom why did you do this - what data are you looking and and why?

Also want to note that I recently started playing with TAQSIM World Synth and it has a lot of great and expressive sounds, too! It was so impressive that I even paid for the subscription to unlock everything across all their apps (it was pretty reasonable) which is not something I do very often.

I have written a PCF component that acts as a tab control (based off Fluent UI). I want that to be in a fixed header across the top. On the right side is a fixed panel top to bottom. Then in the middle is the tab specific content, which in turn is split into left and right panels, each which should independently vertical scroll.

On the surface the new horizontal and vertical containers offer a nice solution as I am able to easily lay down the top and right panels. The issue however is the dynamic nature of the tab content. Ideally I could create separate screens for each tab and get them to render in the available space based on tab selection, however clearly that is not a feature (cool if it was!).

That leaves me with trying to create all the tab page content in some sort of sub-canvas (like when you add a scrolling screen) but this quickly gets unwieldly as you have to adjust each section and show and hide section based on tab selection. This turns into a nightmare, especially as some tab screens have quite a few controls.

I'm not sure of your need for a custom PCF control for tabs - this is something you can do easily in PowerApps with the standard controls. It's often done with just a simple horizontal gallery with a fixed record table to define the elements in it. Then, in your datacards you can simply refer (in the visible property) to the gallery and the selected item (tab).

Thanks @RandyHayes that will work however it is still quite cumbersome trying to manage multiple large scrolling data cards on a single canvas (from the studio perspective) and I am also not sure on the performance of this browser side. But aside from that yes this will work.

I think the idea of having partial views which you can independently create in the studio (like local code components), would be a useful addition to the product, am going to add that to the feature requests.

Actually, if you have the visibility set on the datacards depending on the tabs gallery, then the cards will not scroll (unless you want them too) and only one at a time is visible and editable in the editor.

As I mentioned - we use this method all the time and it works great. Never have seen any performance issues in browsers, mobile or other. It uses the same HTML object model as any other control, so it is never an issue.

Yes I had discovered this independently as I got to grips with it all. I wanted it to be responsive as well so in some sort of Russian Doll setup I have a page with a logo pane, a tab pane then a horizontal container with 2 panes inside, one for my fixed right and the other is a canvas with a data card for each tab, which I have set to auto size to the canvas size, and then from within each card I have more responsive containers to get the desired look and feel. It does work pretty good, and using a combination of responsive containers and old fashioned offsets can get it all to resize great.
