I wanted you to all know about this new initiative to have a full, local store with regular groceries as well as farm-to-table offerings in Copake! (If you get duplicates – I am really, really sorry!)
Please come to one of the meetings. If you are interested in investing in this please speak to Roberta. If not – please come to share your thoughts and more importantly – please shop there when the store opens. I believe that a vital center to our town is critical!
Thanks!
Leslie

Subject: NEW store for Copake in the works
Greetings Everyone,
As many of you know, the Copake General Store closed last month.
A new store is in the works, called the Copake Front Porch - there will be a full line of groceries, fresh produce, meat and a delicious array of local products, prepared foods and baked goods. The market will provide fresh, healthy food at affordable prices. You can be a part of this initiative by helping to raise funds for the start-up costs. Many people have already contributed because they love Copake and want to be a part of taking the next step in creating a busy, vibrant downtown.
There will be two upcoming meetings for all who are interested in finding out more - Saturday, Dec. 28 at 3pm and Thursday, Jan. 2 at 7pm. Both meetings will be held at the Copake Methodist Church House.
See attachment below for a fuller description of the project and business plan.
For more information, please call Roberta Roll at 329-0384 or Pat Placona at 329-2206. We hope to see you at the meetings!
Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
