Kathy, Allen, and ATC members,

The Peteroys were very gracious in their public announcement
thanking and praising the hard work of Kathy in maintaining her
beautiful work of the stone planters in front of Jim's Autobody.
(something I should have done long ago). They look great and have
gone a long way to making that stretch of 7A far more attractive
than it once was. Nice job Kathy and thank you. (Jim, in addition to
letting us plant, has also made an effort over the last year to make
the area look better.)

Now, it's someone elses turn to help. Kathy asked me weeks ago if I
could cement the stones on the top of the three planters that were
loose. I said sure and it has been on my mind but I have not gotten
over there to do it. If one of you out there is handy with cement to
patch up the stone planters, mostly the tops where the flat stones
are loose, can you please volunteer to take a few hours to do that?
The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so maybe one of you
can take it on then. Let me know via mpes...@fairpoint.net or my
work number at 329-3275.

Thanks again Kathy,
Mike Peschel

Hi Mike,
Thank you and it would be very much appreciated if someone can
repair the stone beds, especially the little one located at the south end.
It was hit by a car or something and has crumbled on the north east
corner.  Some of these plants are for sale at the General Store
in Copake to raise medical expenses for Copake cats and dogs.
Margaret Roach was generous and added her plants
to the mix today and they are available at the table in front of
the General Store.
Thank you,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

I'll get it done this weekend if it doesn't rain too hard.

Thanks again,

Hi Mike,
There is really no rush.  Whenever it is good for you
or someone who is willing to do it.

Hi Kathy,
After a recent experience at the Shores with a new male cat bully in the hood (not playing nice with his peers cost him two balls), you now have new recruits to help.  I spoke to Gina during the experience but I don't have her email so would you please forward to her.  My neighbor Stella would like to grow plants to sell for this cause too.  I was thinking we could gain support for creating a local humane network by putting in on the "Around the Clock" agenda and running an awareness campaign for the town.  I bet we find many more animal lovers who are caring for homeless cats & dogs that would want to help too.
Best,
Regina
