Also how was Istanbul? Let me try and live it through y'all. What did you like most/least about it?

Peter,

We had a great time in Istanbul but we were more than ready to leave. We made tons of mistakes that cost us lots of money because the Turks are sneaky fucks! The food was better than expected. Honestly the flavors and textures kind of blew us away. There were lots of creative accounting on bills by waiters and stuff. The Hagia Sofia was even better than we had expected. Truly beautiful interior.

 

The bath was interesting. We got the spa treatment version where all three of us went into this heated room with taps of hot water coming from walls. Then individually we would get naked and lay face down on this large marble altar in the middle of the room and the man would scrub us with an abrasive loofa for about 45-50 minutes for each of us. We felt extremely clean and it was only about 40 Euro so not terrible.

 

Happy to hear you’re doing well and glad to hear you got your Mexican fix.  We’re going to see my former gymnastics coach tomorrow which should be fun.

Thanks for the update and it sounded awesome. Too bad about the money scamming but I guess that is to be expected, nothing much you can do about it. I really do appreciate these little updates, gives me a little enjoyment throughout the day!

My feet are still looking pretty gross but I am able to walk a little bit better even though I try and stay off of them. Hopefully another two weeks and I will be able to hobble around enough from cafe to cafe in Europe!
