Pretty good customer service at Eurail. I am going to order my pass today. Don't want it to get lost in the mail with all the holiday mail

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your email to Eurail.Com Customer Service.

Unfortunately, one of the conditions for the 20% discount is that you have to complete your trip before 31 March 2013. Because you will end your trip at 20 April, I'm afraid it's not possible to enjoy this discount.

You can use the Eurail pass between all the cities in the selected countries, as long as the trains of the railway companies are included in the Eurail pass. In general, all the trains run by the national railway companies are included in the Eurail pass. You can find a list of all the trains that are included in the Eurail pass at: http://www.eurail.com/plan-your-trip/travel-resources/railway-companies

You can travel on night trains with your Eurail pass, but most of the times there are extra costs involved. The extra costs of a night train depend on the train you are taking and on the level of comfort you are looking for. Some night trains have beds only. In most trains there are also seats, which are sometimes available for free. The costs of the bed depend on whether you travel in a 6-, 4-, or 2-persons cabin and start at about €25,- per bed. When you book a bed, you will mostly get sheets, covers and a pillow. Please note that when you have a bed, the train conductor will collect your passes and keep them during the overnight journey. In the morning your passes will be returned to you. You can find further details about night trains at http://www.eurail.com/planning/trains-and-ferries/overnight-trains and at http://www.eurail.com/planning/train-seat-reservations/overnight-fees you can find the fees for some night trains.

Please note that for most of the high speed trains and night trains, especially in France, Italy and Spain, a reservation is required. These reservations are charged by the railway companies. As a pass holder, you only pay the reservation fee and not the whole ticket price. You can make reservations up to 3 months in advance. Through the following link you can read about how to know when you need a reservation, how to make one and, most importantly, how to avoid paying these supplements, http://www.eurail.com/plan-your-trip/train-reservations.

I hope this answers your questions and hopefully we will see you as a customer at our website http://www.eurail.com/home soon!

Best regards,

Hi,

I plan on traveling throughout Europe using a Eurail pass between March 1st and April 20th. I am going to buy the 2 month global pass and was wondering if I can use the 20% off global pass promotion going on on your website right now?

I am also wondering what additional fees I would have to pay in addition to the pass fee. For instance would it cost an additional fee to take an overnight train between two countries?
