After a few small changes to some .pro and source files it compiled
successfully and installation went well, too.
For this reason maybe someone wants to work over the gui to get a real
nice browser for symbian?

Merge into the main branch? Have a look at the changes. They aren't
very big, but maybe there is a better solution at some points, e.g.
the moc file folder and so on.
I started with a small modification to show full screen size by using
showMaximized() instead of just doing show()
Normally I would suggest to do a complete separated gui for the
Symbian version. Have a look a the screen shots and you'll understand
why.
Some of the functions won't be very important on a mobile and it is
not necessary to have them on the top level.
The screen size of my mobile(Nokia E71) is only 320x240 and on other
devices it should be 240x320.
But many of the new devices have or will have a touch-screen with a
resolution of 640 x 360, which will make it much easier to get it fit
to.
To proof its working I made an installer package and self-signed it.
Maybe someone is interested and wants to have look at it.
BUT i do not guarantee any thing!! It will show up, but you won't be
able to browse or anything else!
I will delete this file in a few days, because the self-signed version
will stop working then.
Furthermore this installer package will connect to the internet to get
the necessary Qt Libraries for Symbian, so you should use a wifi
connection or should have a cheap data connection!!
